Supreme Court building on fire

On Monday morning, a wing of the Supreme Court building in Abuja’s Three-Arm Zone caught fire.

We heard that the incident, which began at 7 a.m., sparked panic among court employees, who fled to safety.

Though no human casualties were reported, it was unclear whether the early morning fire damaged crucial data and information.

According to a source, the incident was most likely sparked by an electrical problem in one of the court’s administrative offices.

The source verified that the fire affected three offices, including that of Justice Mohammed Saulawa, before it was extinguished.

In the meantime, the court has yet to publish a formal statement regarding the occurrence.
