The Lagos State Police Command, on Wednesday, declared Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy wanted, following his failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Here are interesting facts about Primeboy.

Primeboy and Mohbad grew up in Lagos State’s Ikorodu neighborhood as Afro-Streetpop artists. They both aspired to be full-fledged artists.

Primeboy was previously signed to Dreams Ng. But, just weeks before Mohbad’s untimely demise, he was in talks with Zlatan’s record label, Zanku, about joining their team.

There are claims that Primeboy and Imole had a massive argument days before Mohbad’s untimely demise.

According to reports, the brawl concluded with them exchanging blows. Primeboy was one of the faces in the viral video announcing Imole’s death. In one of the viral videos, he can be seen sobbing and crying, saying that Mohbad had died. He was also the individual who shared the viral footage of Mohbad’s lifeless body.

Primeboy is a stereotypical example of an underground street pop artist still seeking his big break, yet he was frequently acting like a groupie, as seen in the scenes of many of Mohbad’s music videos. Balance, Omo Ologo, and Dey Play are among Ibrahim’s most well-known songs.

He is very active on a variety of social media channels. On TikTok, he has over 39k followers. He is also active on Instagram, with over 12.4k followers. Officialprimeboy is his Instagram handle.

The Nigerian police have issued an arrest warrant for the young singer in connection with the death of his childhood friend. However, according to a memorandum published by the Lagos State Police Command, Ibrahim declined to comply with their invitation to appear in court for questioning.

He has been declared wanted after weeks of waiting to give himself in. Just two days before he was officially wanted, he posted on his TikTok account. The clips were memorials to Mohbad.

Primeboy, the late Mohbad’s childhood buddy, resorted to social media to clear his identity of the claims made against him over Mohbad’s death.

In an emotional video posted online, the young man stated that he had no reason to end his friend’s life because the artist was more than just a friend to him. Primeboy revealed that the sole reason he has met prominent people in his career has been through Mohbad.
