Extreme Lounge, one of Diepkloof’s elite locations in Soweto, caught fire before dawn on Monday morning. According to numerous reports, this opulent bar caught fire in the morning.

Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and put out the fire. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but the unique lounge was extensively destroyed and rendered unidentifiable.

Prior to the sad incident, Extreme Lounge was one of the few exclusive bars and lounges where entertainment and opulence came together flawlessly. The lounge has been instrumental in pushing and promoting a number of up-and-coming producers, deejays, and musicians, as well as in helping the local entertainment sector grow.

Everyone who visits the lounge in search of relaxation and warmth will be impacted by the lounge’s closure as a result of the fire catastrophe, not just the owner. We sincerely wish and believe that they quickly move through this tough time and resume business as usual.
