Evidence links Naira Marley, Sam Larry with cyberbullying, assault of Mohbad – Nigerian Police

The commissioner disclosed this in a briefing on Friday in Lagos State, while giving an update on police investigation.

On Friday, Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa stated that there is evidence linking Naira Marley and Sam Larry to cyberbullying, physical abuse, a threat to life, and assault against the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad.

The commissioner made the announcement during a briefing in Lagos on Friday.

Mohbad died in September under dubious circumstances, with videos of the musician being ridiculed and attacked resurfacing after his death.

His former label boss, Naira Marley (Abdulazeez Fashola), and his associate, Sam Larry (Samson Balogun), have been identified as accomplices.

The commissioner stated, “While Abdulazeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Samson Balogun (Sam Larry) denied allegations of criminal liability in the death of Mohbad and pleaded an alibi to justify their non-being complicit in the incident that occurred between 10-12 September 2023, there are ample electronic and credible witness pieces of evidence linking them to cyberbullying, a threat to life, assault occasioning harm, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace against the deceased in his lifetime”

Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, was also mentioned as the primary suspect in Mohbad’s killing by Owohunwa.

According to the CP, Ogedengbe, who was invited by Mohbad’s buddy, Ayobami Sodiq, nicknamed Spending, to inject the singer at his apartment, was given three injections that are thought to have set off a chain of events that led to the singer’s death.

According to him, Ogedengbe gave Mohbad “multiple and highly potent” injections, causing him to vomit and demonstrating goosebumps.

According to the commissioner, Ogedengbe was unqualified to execute the duty of a home nurse and did so in a non-clinical setting.
