BREAKING: WAEC meets to decide on withheld results today

The West African Examinations Council has called the 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee to discuss cases of malpractice and violations involving school candidates in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

The organization announced this on Tuesday via its official X Twitter.

WAEC nominated Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as the Head of the Nigeria National Office earlier on Monday.

The examination authority initially issued the 2023 WASSCE results in August, but the results of 262,803 applicants were delayed due to cases of examination misconduct.

However, the organization has informed candidates that their results will be determined after the NEC conference completes its deliberations.

“The 76th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to consider & decide on the malpractice/irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023 begins today.  “Stay tuned.”
