Controversial concert organizer Samson Erinfolami Balogun Eletu, popularly referred to as Sam Larry, has been taken into custody by the Nigeria Police to answer inquiries surrounding Mohbad’s death.

This was verified late Thursday, September 28, 2023, by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a short message on his X, formerly Twitter, account.

“Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with ongoing investigation,” Hundeyin’s wrote.

According to claims, Sam Larry was arrested at the Lagos airport following his arrival to Nigeria on suspicion of being involved in the death of the young Afrobeats artist, Mohbad.

Sam Larry started facing criticism on social media after videos of him and others harassing late artist Mohbad surfaced.

In one of the footage, Mohbad and Zlatan were on the set of a music video when someone who is alleged to be a partner of Naira Marley attacked the setting with some boys concentrating on Mohbad, who ran away in panic.

Many Nigerians were enraged by the video and flooded Sam Larry’s Instagram page to bash him for abusing and abusing the late musician.
