“Mohbad was a weakling” — Speed Darlington criticizes the late artist
Speed Darlington criticized the late Nigerian rapper Mohbad for failing to stand up to bullies before his passing.
The controversy surrounding the recent murder of the pop artist, which included a number of suspects, including his former record label, Marlian Music, shocked the internet.
Prior to his passing, Mohbad reportedly had a lot of issues with the record company. Nigerian musician Speed Darlington is criticizing the late performer for initially accepting the harassment.
The lyricist called the late singer a “weakling” for making it possible for Marlian young men to abuse him to that extent when he was still alive.
After Mohbad passed away on September 12, videos of men who were supposedly affiliated with the record label attacking him appeared online. The Marlian group, led by Naira Marley and Sam Larry, was explicitly condemned as a result of the films.
The tapes angered Speed Darlington, who lambasted the deceased performer for not confronting his attackers and instead fleeing and complaining.
‘’Make sure you produce a beast.” Speed Darlington was reported saying.
“Do not produce a weakling. I saw too many videos of a dead man. He goes like this ‘If anything happens to me to me like this, Na Marlian and his boys
’’ I dey look am I say Ah see this weakling. Bully nor dey attack person when go beat am. Bully will size you up, convince himself that I can finish that boy before they attack.
“Bully do not attack people that are stronger than them, If every time when they attacked this boy, whether they are two or three and one of them bleeds profusely, they would not continue to do it”.
